Text goes out
Your lines are handed to the same narration service that converts full books, which is why the voices here are the voices you would actually get.
Retained legacy surface
Voice Playground — legacy
Voice Playground is absorbed into Avatar Playground. Visit Avatar Playground for the current project; this older preview route remains available.
Paste a few lines, choose a voice, and hear them read back. Short previews only — this is somewhere to listen to the voices before committing a whole book to one of them.
Voice
The premium voices run on metered quota, so they stay behind a key. It travels with this one request, straight through to the voice service — nothing is stored, here or in your browser. The standard voice is open to everyone.
How this works
A voice reads it
Each voice has its own trade-off between speed, quality, and how much of it there is to go around. The picker says which is which.
Audio comes back
Play it here or download the file. Nothing is kept — previews are generated on request and are not stored against you.
